pneumio is the place to go for all acoustics problems and is the reason people know about those problems in the first place. The word “pneumio” comes from the Greek ”pneuma,” meaning breath or spirit, and “audio,” meaning sound. These were combined into one word to convey the purpose of the company, to breathe new life into sound.

Sound matters. Sound is the underlying physical reality behind so many of our intuitions. Sound tells us how we should feel, what we should believe, who we are, and how we should connect to others.

Let’s work together to get sound to work with you. Let’s breathe new life into your sound.

pneumio was started by David Gillespie, who is the sole owner and employee. He wanted to share his passion and knowledge of acoustics with his community to help others enjoy sound and experiences as they should.

David has a Master’s degree in Acoustics. He also has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a double major in Physics and minor in Mathematics. He has worked a variety of projects in his career ranging from wireless communications to car electronics and from sound detection of drones to liftoff acoustics of rockets.

David lives in Madison, AL with his wife, daughter, and son. They enjoy going on adventures together and can often be found making weird noises to hear the cool echoes.
